TORONTO (ICIS news)--Jacobs has won a contract to license and design its proprietary technology for a sulphur recovery unit at a new natural gas plant in Turkmenistan, the US-based international petrochemicals engineering firm said on Tuesday.
The unit would be integral to the gas plant operated by state-owned Turkmengas, which produces, processes and exports that country’s gas reserves, Jacobs said.
Jacobs did not disclose capacities, sulphur volumes to be recovered or financial terms.
The gas plant itself was due to come online in 2012, Jacobs said. It would be designed and built by Hyundai Engineering.
