TORONTO (ICIS news)--SolVin has selected e-distributor ChemPoint to provide sales, marketing and related services for its Ixan-brand SGA-1 polyvinylidene chloride (PVDC) resin in the US market, the companies said on Tuesday.
SolVin, a division of Solvay Advanced Polymers, chose ChemPoint because of its expertise in the PVDC resin market, it said.
ChemPoint is part of global chemical distributor Univar.
PVDC enhances packaging materials. It provides strong seals to make hermetic packages and it improves the appearance of packaging through its transparency, gloss, print adhesion and scratch resistance, the companies said.
