LONDON (ICIS news)--Industrial new orders in the EU fell by 2.0% year on year in November 2009, while orders for chemicals rose 4.2%, official statistics agency Eurostat said on Friday.
In the 16-member eurozone, industrial new orders in November declined by 1.5% year on year however chemicals orders increased by 2.7%.
Month on month, November chemicals orders were up by 3.9% in the 27-member EU and by 3.4% in the eurozone.
Compared with October, industrial new orders in November rose 1.8% in the EU and increased by 1.6% in the eurozone.
