HOUSTON (ICIS news)--DuPont opened a photovoltaic laboratory at the company's European Technical Center in Geneva, Switzerland, it said on Monday.
The Meyrin Photovoltaic Application Laboratory is intended to develop new solar module designs and speed up commercialisation, the company said.
Already, DuPont is commercialising a building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) panel system, which will replace tile or slate roofs, the company said.
DuPont plans to sell the product in the French market in the first quarter, the company said. It will then target southern European markets.
