MOVES: US chem council names Walter Moore federal affairs VP

HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Former Genentech public affairs official Walter Moore will join the American Chemistry Council (ACC) as vice president of federal affairs, the organisation said on Monday.

Moore, who will join the ACC on 8 February, spent the last 16 years at pharmaceuticals developer Genentech, where he was responsible for government relations, testified before Congress and led advocacy initiatives on health and science issues, the ACC said.

From 1990 to 1993, Moore managed government relations at Eli Lilly, and in the 1980s, he managed government affairs and political activities for Pfizer and the American Hospital Association, the ACC said.
