US weekly propylene stocks drop by 6.6% - EIA

HOUSTON (ICIS news)--US propylene inventories dropped by 6.6% in the week ended 29 January from a week earlier, the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) said on Wednesday.

Propylene stockpiles stood at 2.898m bbl, which is down from 3.102m bbl from the week ended 22 January, and also down from 3.563m bbl in the week ended 30 January 2009, according to EIA data.

Non-fuel use propylene, as defined by the EIA, is intended for petrochemical manufacturing, including polymer and chemical-grade propylene.
