LONDON (ICIS news)--Indorama will halt production at its purified terephthalic acid (PTA) and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plant at Rotterdam, the Netherlands, in early to mid-June for up to two weeks of planned maintenance work, a company source said on Monday.
The exact dates of the shutdown and restart were yet to be confirmed, but the plant was expected to be off line for 10-14 days, the source added.
The source said that in the build-up to the shutdown, the plant will stockpile material and deliver to customers as normal throughout the maintenance period.
As a result, it was not expected to have a major impact on the European PTA or PET markets, the source added.
