Brenntag acquires French chemical distributor Metausel

TORONTO (ICIS news)--Brenntag has acquired French industrial chemicals distributor Metausel for an undisclosed sum, the Germany-based international chemicals distribution major said on Tuesday.

Strasbourg-based Metausel distributed mainly industrial chemicals into industries such as painting, constructions, food, pharmaceuticals, as well as water treatment and surface treatment, Brenntag said.

Metausel was focused on customers in the Alsace-Lorraine area in eastern France, one of the country’s strongest economic regions, Brenntag said.
