Siam Polyethylene to complete new LLDPE plant on approval

SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Siam Polyethylene is waiting for government approval before resuming the construction of its new 350,000 tonne/year linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) plant at Mab Ta Phut, Thailand, a source close to the company said on Thursday.

"Construction of the new plant - one of the projects suspended under a court order - was close to completion” the source said.

Siam Polyethylene is a 50:50 joint venture of Dow Chemical and the Siam Cement Group.
