SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Thailand’s Siam Cement plans to resume trial production at its new 400,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) plant at Mab Ta Phut at the end of February after shutting it in January, a company source said on Friday.
The PP plant, which was on trial runs briefly in January, was shut due to an on-site shortage of feedstock propylene, the source added.
The source did not know when exactly the PP plant was shut.
Siam Cement’s other PP plants, which have a combined capacity of 320,000 tonnes/year at the same site, were running at full capacity, the source added.
