HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Here is Tuesday’s mid-day Americas oil and chemical market summary from ICIS pricing.

CRUDE: April WTI: $79.26/bbl, down $1.05; April Brent: $77.61/bbl, down $1.00
Crude prices eased in response to a spike in the dollar and to a report showing a drop in US consumer confidence. WTI (West Texas Intermediate) bottomed out at $78.22/bbl before recouping a portion of the losses.

NATURAL GAS: $4.837/MMBtu, down 5.8 cents
Natural gas futures traded below $5 for the second straight day as high inventory levels loom as the market looks towards milder spring weather and weakened domestic demand.

RBOB: $2.0872/gal, down 2.86 cents
Reformulated blendstock for oxygenate blending (RBOB) futures gave back some of Monday's gains stemming from European refinery issues and followed the weaker crude oil futures in early trading.

BENZENE: US benzene was steady at $3.55-3.64/gal FOB (free on board).

ETHYLENE: US ethylene for February was bid at 55.00 cents/lb with no offers. Ethylene for February traded at 55.00 cents/lb on Friday.

PROPYLENE: Spot refinery-grade propylene (RGP) prices were steady at 54.00-55.00 cents/lb. RGP for February traded last week at 54.00-54.50 cents/lb.
