HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Eastman Chemical filed a lawsuit on Monday against Dak Americas, alleging Dak had used Eastman’s patented IntegRex technology for the production of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) without authorisation.

Eastman filed its complaint in a US district court, alleging patent infringement of three Eastman patents that represent a portion of the IntegRex technology patent portfolio, the company said.

Eastman previously filed a lawsuit against Indorama companies in the US, Europe and Thailand, also alleging the unauthorised use of IntegRex PET technology.
