LONDON (ICIS news)--Chemical industry producer prices in the 27-member EU rose 1.5% year on year in January, according to figures released on Tuesday by official statistics agency Eurostat.
In the 16 eurozone countries, chemicals prices in January increased 0.9% compared with the same month last year.
Month on month, EU chemical industry producer prices in January rose 0.8% and were up 0.6% in the eurozone.
Overall industrial producer prices in the EU rose by 0.1% year on year in January, while eurozone prices dropped 1.0%.
January 2010 compared with December 2009, industrial producer prices increased by 0.9% in the EU and by 0.7% in the eurozone.
