TORONTO (ICIS news)--DyStar expects to restart production at its sites in Germany by the end of March, the textile and leather chemicals major said on Wednesday.

The company shut down all of its German sites, apart from indigo production at Ludwigshafen, shortly after filing for insolvency in September 2009.

India-based Kiri Dyes and Chemicals acquired DyStar last month.

DyStar's plants at Frankfurt, Brunsbuttel, Ludwigshafen and Leverkusen were part of Kiri's acquisition.

Not included was DyStar’s plant at Gerestried, near Munich.
