HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Dow Chemical has appointed William Weideman to the permanent role of chief financial officer (CFO) and executive vice president, the US producer said on Monday.
Weideman had served as vice president and interim CFO since 3 November 2009, reporting to CEO Andrew Liveris.
“Since stepping into the role of interim CFO in late 2009, Bill has impressed stakeholders both inside and outside of Dow,” Liveris said in a statement. “In addition, Bill knows Dow's businesses extremely well, as well as having extensive experiences in Dow's downstream market-facing businesses.”
Weideman previously served as group finance vice president for the company’s basic chemicals and plastics portfolio.
Weideman succeeds Geoffery Merszei, who is currently president of Dow’s operations in Europe, the Middle East and ?xml:namespace>
