SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Shell plans to shutdown a crude distillation unit (CDU) and a long residue catalytic cracker (LRCC) at its 500,000 bbl/day Bukom refinery in Singapore during 2010, an industry source said on Tuesday.
The CDU shutdown is scheduled for around 30-60 days in May-June. Another CDU is currently shut down for maintenance and is expected to be restarted at the end of March or in early April. The 33,000 bbl/day LRCC is expected to be down in August for around one month.
The 36,000 bbl/day hydrocracker at the Bukom refinery which was shut down for unscheduled maintenance in mid February was expected to restart by around 21 March, a second industry source said.
Shell will not comment on operational matters.
