TORONTO (ICIS news)--HB Fuller has agreed to acquire Malaysian adhesives supplier Revertex Finewaters for an undisclosed sum, the US-based international adhesives, sealants and specialty chemicals producer said on Friday.

Revertex, an affiliate of the UK’s Yule Catto, employs a staff of 104 and had sales of $18m (€13m) last year, HB Fuller said.

“The acquisition of Revertex Finewaters further strengthens our market position in Southeast Asia and expands both our geographic presence and customer portfolio in this very fast growing region,” HB Fuller chief executive Michele Volpi said.

The deal is expected to close in the second quarter of 2010, the company said.
