SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--South Korea’s Hanwha Chemical plans to shut part of its polyethylene (PE) facilities at Yeosu in April and May for scheduled maintenance, a company source said on Tuesday.
An 83,000 tonne/year line at the company’s No 1 low density PE (LDPE) plant would be shut from 12-16 April, while its 118,000 tonne/year No 1 linear LDPE (LLDPE) unit would be taken off line from 16-18 April, the source said.
Hanwha's 155,000 tonne/year No 3 LLDPE plant would be shut for 10 days from 4 May and its 120,000 tonne/year No 2 LDPE would be shut for 11 days from 17 May, the source added.
