SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Thailand’s PTT Chemical achieved on-spec production at its 460,000 tonne/year gas cracker in Mab Ta Phut on 4 April after a scheduled maintenance shutdown, a company official said on Thursday.
The cracker, also known as the I-1 facility, was taken off line on 23 February.
“The cracker is now running at around 60%,” said the company official.
PTT Chemical was also targeting to get on-spec propylene from its propane dehydrogenation (PDH) unit at the same site by 10 April after the facility was restarted on Wednesday, said the official.
The PDH unit can produce around 120,000 tonnes/year of propylene.
