MUMBAI (ICIS news)--Indian Oil Corp (IOC) expects to start up its 325,000 tonnes/year monoethylene glycol (MEG) plant at Panipat in Haryana state by the end of this week, a company source said on Monday.

The MEG unit and other polymer plants at the facility would get their feedstock from the 857,000 tonne/year cracker that was commissioned in March, the source added.

Plans were also on to start up the polyethylene (PE) plant by the end of the April or in early May, the source added.

The company achieved on-spec production at its 600,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) plant on 16 April, the source said.
