HOUSTON (ICIS news)--US specialty chemicals producer Eastman Chemical has completed the acquisition of Genovique Specialties, which produces specialty plasticisers, benzoic acid and sodium benzoate, the company said on Monday.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
The deal included Genovique's plants in Kohtla-Jarve, Estonia, and Chestertown, Maryland, Eastman said. The acquisition also included a joint venture in Wuhan, China.
Eastman produces raw materials used to make paints and coatings, inks, adhesives and other products. The company also makes acetic anhydride, plasticisers, glycols and polyethylene terephthalate (PET).
