OMNOVA closes on acquisition of US Dow pigment line

HOUSTON (ICIS news)--OMNOVA Solutions has closed on its acquisition of Dow Chemical’s hollow sphere plastic pigment line, the US-based company said on Monday.

The sale closed late on 14 May after the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) gave its approval on the deal, the company said.

The sale was part of required divestitures in the wake of Dow’s acquisition of Rohm and Haas, the companies said. As such, the companies also ended the RohmNova paper coatings joint venture.

Financial terms and capacity details have not been disclosed.
