LONDON (ICIS news)--Indian fertilizer importer and producer Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers (RCF) has issued a new import tender for phosphates, trader sources said on Friday.

The tender, for 200,000 tonnes of diammonium phosphate (DAP), closes on 27 May for shipment during June-August.

The tender requires that 40,000 tonnes be delivered to the port of Kandla; 75,000 tonnes to Krishnapatnam; 60,000 tonnes to Vizag; and 25,000 tonnes to New Mangalore.

India has so far contracted to import approximately 7.5m tonnes of DAP in 2010-2011 and is the world’s largest importer.

Major producers of DAP include the US, North Africa, Russia and Jordan.
