HOUSTON (ICIS news)--US propylene inventories fell by more than 2% during the week ended 21 May as refiners continued a gradual slowing of operating rates, the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) said on Wednesday.
It was the third straight drop in non-fuel use propylene inventory after a build in April.
Refinery-sourced propylene stockpiles last week stood at 2.938m bbl, down 2.65% from 3.018m bbl a week earlier.
Non-fuel use propylene, as defined by the EIA, is intended for petrochemical manufacturing, including polymer and chemical-grade propylene.
