Dow Chemical appoints new Asia-Pac chief technology officer

SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Dow Chemical has appointed Yao Weiguang as its chief technology officer (CTO) for the Asia-Pacific region, the company said in a statement on Monday.

Yao would also be assuming the role of global research and development director for Dow’s energy storage and materials business, which is based in Shanghai, the company said.

Yao was the company's senior director of research and development for Asia-Pacific.

Theresa Kotanchek, the former CTO for Asia-Pacific, would be relocating to the US in her new role as global director for sustainable technologies and innovation sourcing, Dow added.

Both appointments would be effective immediately, according to the statement.
