HOUSTON (ICIS news)--US agribusiness Bunge named two top executives to new posts in response to the retirement of co-chief executive Archie Gwathmey, the company said on Wednesday.
Gwathmey, who would officially retire at the end of the year, the company said.
Co-CEO Drew Burke would assume the newly created role of limited global operational excellence officer, which would be responsible for efficiency and return on assets.
Current CEO Raul Padilla would become chief executive of Bunge Global Agribusiness and Bunge Product Lines, said chairman Alberto Weisser.
White Plains, NY-based Bunge opened at $80/share on Wednesday on the New York Stock Exchange, 10 cents higher than the prior day’s close.
