Initial Europe June OX settles down €25/tonne at €820/tonne

LONDON (ICIS news)--An initial European June orthoxylene (OX) contract has been settled at €820/tonne ($1,000/tonne), down €25/tonne from May, a producer said on Friday.

According to one player, a reduction for June was in line with the expectations of many in the market due to weaker crude numbers and a generally bearish sentiment in the wider aromatics sector.

The settlement was agreed on a free delivered (FD) northwest Europe (NWE) basis.

Further confirmation from other market players was pending.

($1 = €0.82)
