HOUSTON (ICIS news)--US polymer firm PolyOne has agreed to distribute Dow Corning silicone products to healthcare device manufacturers and fabricators in the US, Canada and Mexico, the companies said on Monday.
Terms of the agreement - which added the first non-thermoplastic items to PolyOne’s healthcare portfolio - were not disclosed.
Dow Corning’s silicone elastomers were used in a variety of medical device applications, including electrocardiogram (EKG) tabs, catheters, angioplasty balloons, and medical grade O-rings, tubing, stoppers and closures, the companies said.
