MOVES: Singapore Chemical Industry Council appoints new chairman

SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--The Singapore Chemical Industry Council (SCIC) has appointed Lawrence Cheung as its new chairman, effective immediately, the industry body said on Thursday.

Cheung replaces A. Chockalingam, who served as chairman since the organisation's inception in 1997, SCIC said.

Cheung will serve as SCIC chairman for a period of two years until 2012, it said.

Cheung, who was the ex-vice chairman of SCIC, is also currently the country manager of Dow Chemical Pacific.
