SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Aker Solutions has appointed its chief financial officer Leif Borge as the company’s temporary president and Øyvind Eriksen as its temporary CEO effective immediately, the company said on Wednesday.

They replace ex-CEO and president of the company Simen Lieungh, who has been with the company for 22 years, the Norway-based oil and petrochemicals engineering major said on Wednesday.

"My departure from the company is the result of an understanding that the board and I have arrived at over some time. It is not a result of any specific issues related to operations or projects," Lieungh said in the statement.

Eriksen, meanwhile, will continue as president & CEO of parent company Aker ASA, it said.

The Aker Solutions board has also appointed director Mikael Lilius as deputy chairman, the company added.
