Inergy Automotive Systems is an automotive fuel systems equal joint venture (JV) of Solvay and Plastic Omnium, an automotive components and modules maker.
“Both companies are expecting to reach an agreement in the coming months, which will be subject to the usual antitrust authorizations and following employee consultations,” Solvay said in a statement.
Sales from the JV amounted to about €900m ($1.1bn) in 2009, the company added.
No financial details of the deal were disclosed in the statement.
