LONDON (ICIS news)--BASF has merged two of its Swiss businesses, Orgamol Pharma Solutions and Fine Chemicals Switzerland, into a single company, BASF Pharma, the German chemical major said on Thursday.

"The merger reduces complexity at our site and simplifies processes," Widmann said.
"The two companies have been working closely together with success for many years," he added.
The former head of Orgamol Pharma Solutions, Folker Ruchatz, was named as the merger’s new managing director.
BASF said that the merger has not affected existing contracts with employees, suppliers and customers, and that the change would not affect staff numbers.
