LONDON (ICIS news)--INEOS' joint venture cracker (JV) at Lavera in France is back online following an unplanned outage, company spokesman Richard Longden said on Friday.
The INEOS/Total Petrochemicals JV cracker, operated by Naphta Chimie, went down on 17 June. INEOS was forced to declare force majeure on propylene (C3), polypropylene (PP) and ethylene oxide (EO) supplies from the site.
Although there was no direct confirmation, market sources said that the force majeure declarations would likely remain in place until production was on-spec and stable.
The cracker has the ability to produce 775,000 tonnes/year ethylene and 540,000 tonnes/year propylene according to ICIS plants and projects data.
