SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--South Korea’s S-Oil is running its fluidised catalytic cracker (FCC) unit in Onsan at 100% after restarting the facility earlier this week, a source close to the company said on Friday.

The FCC, which can produce 200,000 tonnes/year of propylene, was restarted on 7 July, the source said.

S-Oil had shut the FCC on 1 June for a turnaround. The company supplies propylene mainly to domestic customers such as acrylonitrile producers Tongsuh Petrochemical  and Taekwang Industrial.
