The 544,000 tonne/year unit in Houston was originally expected to come on stream at the end of July, but talk emerged earlier this week that the start-up would be later.
“We expect to charge the plant with propylene and feedstock around mid-August and introduce feed rates during the last week of the month,” said Petrologistics’ senior vice president Hank Jeans.
The plant will produce chemical- (CGP) and polymer-grade propylene (PGP) from propane.
