SHANGHAI (ICIS news)--China's economy expanded at an annual rate of 11.1% in the first half of this year, a pace 3.7 percentage points faster than in the same period last year, based on National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) data released on Thursday.
Second-quarter numbers were not provided. Analysts, however, said that the country's June-quarter GDP growth may have decelerated to 10.5% from 11.9% in the first three months of the year, due to slower loan expansion.
