SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Fushun Petrochemical, a subsidiary of PetroChina, plans to complete relocation and expansion works at its paraffin wax (p-wax) facility in Liaoning province by 2010, a source close to the company said on Thursday.
The new solidification unit had just been completed in June, while the relocation of the 300,000 tonne/year wax separation unit would be completed in October, the source added.
The company had started relocation works since 2009 that had affected the manufacturing with volume in 2009 being 70% of the output in 2008.
The estimated total production in 2011 was expected to be 450,000 tonne/year, up from around 330,000 tonne/year at present.
Chinese refineries contribute approximately 70% to the world’s supply of p-wax.
