SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Daesan MMA plans to bring forward the scheduled maintenance project for its 90,000 tonne/year methyl methacrylate (MMA) plant at Daesan, South Korea, from December to the end of September, a company source said on Monday.
The plant would shut down for 14 days of scheduled maintenance work at the end of September and would restart in early October, the source said.
In addition, Daesan MMA plans to increase the plant's production capacity next year by 15,000 tonnes/year, bringing the total capacity to 105,000 tonnes/year, the source added.
Daesan MMA is a joint venture between South Korea-based Honam Petrochemical and Japan’s Mitsubishi Rayon.
