Saudi Kayan starts up 1.35m tonne/year cracker in Al Jubail

LONDON (ICIS news)--Saudi Kayan has started up its new 1.35m tonne/year cracker in Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia, sources familiar with the project said on Monday.

On spec ethylene production was achieved last week, they said, without revealing further details.

SABIC has a 35% stake in the venture and Al-Kayan Petrochemical Company 20%. The remaining shares are  publicly traded on the Saudi bourse.
