Taiwan CPC buys 15,000t MTBE for Sept-Oct delivery

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Taiwan’s CPC Corp has bought by tender 15,000 tonnes of methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE) for delivery in September and October, market sources said on Friday.

The MTBE was bought at a premium of $10.00-15.00/tonne (€7.06-11.40/tonne) to Singapore quotes FOB (free on board), they said.

On Friday MTBE prices were assessed at $740-750/tonne FOB Singapore, ICIS data showed.
