SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Petrochemical Corporation of Singapore (Pte) Ltd plans to shut its 650,000 tonne/year No 2 cracker on Ayer Merbau in the middle of next year for turnaround, an industry source said on Tuesday.

The entire plant would be off line for 30-35 days, the source added.

PCS operates another cracker at the same site, which boasts a nameplate capacity of 450,000 tonne/year, ICIS data showed.

“The target for the current operating rate is 100%,” said the source, referring to both crackers and declined to comment further.
