LONDON (ICIS)--Indian Potash Limited (IPL) has announced a purchase tender for an unspecified quantity of urea, a company release said on Monday.
The tender, which permits both granular and prilled urea, closes on 17 August with offers to be valid until 20 August, the release said.

Indian urea tenders have huge global significance due to the substantial quantities that can be purchased.
The last Indian urea purchase tender was closed by State Trading Company (STC) on 13 July. Following protracted negotiations, STC issued awards totalling 725,000-730,000 tonnes at prices in the range $283.92-288.92/tonne (€212.94-216.69/tonne) CFR (cost and freight).
