Finland's chemicals output rises 12.6% in June

LONDON (ICIS)--Finland’s chemicals output increased 12.6% in June compared with the same month in 2009, Statistics Finland said on Tuesday.

Output rose 7.7% in June over the previous month, according to the country’s official statistics agency.

Chemical capacity utilisation in June was 84.1%, up from 75.1% during the same month last year and 79.5% in May.

Production of wood and paper products, a key end-user market for the domestic chemicals industry, grew by 28.3% year on year in June.

Capacity utilisation in the wood and paper industry fell to 83.4% in June from 85.1% in May
