SAO PAULO (ICIS news)--Brazilian petrochemicals major Braskem expects to spend Brazilian reais (R) 317m ($180m, €137m) for maintenance shutdowns this year, the company’s chief executive said on Tuesday.
Bernardo Gradin said about R200m would be spent on a maintenance shutdown scheduled for November at Braskem’s major basic petrochemicals plant in Camacari, in the northeastern state of ?xml:namespace>
Braskem’s complex in Camacari can produce about 1.3m tonnes/year of ethylene.
