WR Grace opens new construction chem additives plant in China

TORONTO (ICIS)--WR Grace has officially opened a new cement additives and concrete admixtures plant at Chongqing in China’s Sichuan province, the US-based specialty chemicals producer said on Thursday.

“The facility is a continuation of our investment strategy in emerging regions and better positions us to benefit from increasing infrastructure spending in western China,” said Andrew Bonham, president of Grace’s construction products business.

The company did not disclose investment details or capacities.

Grace already has construction chemicals facilities in Shanghai, Tianjin, Guangzhou and Hong Kong.
