US Q2 BD output climbs 8.5% year on year - NPRA

HOUSTON (ICIS)--US second-quarter butadiene (BD) production was 903m lb (410,000 tonnes), an increase of 8.5% from 832m lb one year earlier, the National Petrochemical & Refiners Association (NPRA) said on Wednesday.

BD production in the second quarter rose by 3.1% compared with 876m lb in the first quarter of 2010, the group said.

US BD inventories in the second quarter were at 151m lb, unchanged from the first quarter but up by 26% from 120m lb in the same period one year earlier.

NPRA's quarterly data is based on voluntary reports
