SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Titan Chemical Corp’s 205,000 tonne/year high density polyethylene (HDPE)/linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) swing plant in Pasir Gudang, Malaysia, is still shut as attempts to restart it since Tuesday have failed, a source close to the company said on Thursday.

“The plant was shut early last week due to technical problems,” said the source.

The plant produces mainly film and blow-moulding grade HDPE, he added.

The company could not be immediately reached for comment.
