HOUSTON (ICIS)--Argentina’s chemical production in July rose by 1.5% year over year, a government agency said on Friday.
Production of basic chemical products declined by 0.1% in July year over year, said Argentina’s Statistics Institute (INDEC). The institute does not provide tonnage figures for production.
July production of industrial gases rose by 4.1% year over year, the group said.
Production of plastic raw materials and synthetic rubber fell by 3.8% year over year.
Agrochemicals production rose by 17.1% in July, while production of pharmaceutical products declined by 3.2% year over year.
July production of detergents, soaps and personal products increased by 0.7% year over year.
Plastic products and rubber tyres production grew by 11.6%, with rubber tyre production leading the segment with a 16.4% increase.
Production of plastic products grew by 10.8% year over year, INDEC said.
