SINGAPORE (ICIS)--SK Engineering & Construction Co has secured a contract to build an aromatics complex in Singapore, a source close the company said on Thursday.
SK Engineering and project operator Jurong Aromatics Corp (JAC) signed the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) deal on Wednesday, said the source, but he declined to provide the amount of the contract.
SK Engineering is a sister company of SK Energy, which has a 30% interest in the Singapore petrochemical project that was due to start up in 2014 after some delays.
JAC had also signed a 20-year utility services contract for the aromatics project on Wednesday with Singaporean conglomerate SembCorp Industries.
