Russia's January-July chemical imports exceed exports by $6bn

MOSCOW (ICIS)--Russia's imports of chemical products exceeded chemical exports by some $6bn (€4.6bn) in January-July 2010, the Russian Federal Customs Service said in a statement released on Monday.

The country's total chemical exports were up by 34% year on year at $13.30bn, while chemical imports were also up by 34% at $19.34bn, the statement said.

The country's crude oil exports were up by 52% at $76bn and natural gas exports were up by 26% at $26.4bn, according to the statement.
